International Award "Lorenzo il Magnifico" 3rd Prize

When you read the horrendous news about honour killings and honour-based violence (HBV), have you ever questioned what the role of mothers is in these cases? Are they the 'typical' mothers who are the victims themselves and are completely helpless about their children's brutal fate? Or is it? According to various studies, the statistics surprisingly proves that women are in fact playing an essential role in the honour-based crime. Would it change the view we see 'Mother'? Would it prove that in terms of persecuting women, women are just as bad as men? How do women view other women, enemies or allies? Shall we lose our faith in feminine solidarity?

This performance explores the role of women, especially mothers, in HBV.
